Bernard Matthews Farms is the largest turkey farmer and producer of turkey products in the UK, supplying many of the major grocery retailers and foodservice providers. In 2009, Bernard Matthews completed a full business process review, which identified the need to implement a new sales and operational planning process (S&OP).

Previously, Bernard Matthews had a number of different systems to support planning which focused on the needs of the supply chain and finance teams, rather than meeting the needs of the sales team. For example, three separate systems were required to manage the visibility of promotions and forecast account level profitability.
